Happy meets sad..

Wonderful lunch with wonderful company today as Hellan and Stella came to see me! <3 <3

And she brought me a gift and a trash magazine (which I of course don't read at all.. ;))!

Coconut scrub and shimmering lotion! Yay! Absolutely perfect since my other sparkly body butter just finished. Ah the small things in life.. ;)

And then Henke came home with this! I had went on and on about Rach's curling iron in NZ so now I finally got one of my own! :)

And then to the sad part. A small soft grey and yellow bird flew into our window and broke its wing. :'-( It just lay on the porch flapping its good wing whilst hardly moving. So we had to kill it. (WE?! - who am I kidding? Henke, had to kill it.) But I buried it. Henke looked at me like a complete alien when I said I was gonna bury it. "Throw it away." he said. WHAT? No way ray. The poor thing just came into this world and now it gets thrown in the trash?! I don't think so.

Said and done. Me and my little helper did the most beautiful box we could manage on short notice, lit a candle and said a prayer..

But unfortunately when it came to start digging down dead animals in the garden Henke was v e r y clear it wasn't gonna happen. Okey, so there had to be some sort of a compromise.

We buried the little fellow inside the trashbin eventually..

(I know it's not very common to attend funerals in only underwear eating ice cream, but my son sometimes just does not follow the norm.. ;))

Now wrestling with two-yearold in bed trying to exhaust him enough to fall asleep before us.. X-)

Let there be sleep. /Å

Food tips and family life..

Annika is a GREAT dance rehearsing partner! 1) She is very good at keeping track of choreo detailing and 2) she brings low carb muffins as a post workout treat! Chocolate and apple flavour - both delicious! Thanx babe!!

If you want to try them out yourself you'll find all you need here! In Swedish though..

She also had made me lowcarb bread which was great too! It was such bliss to sink my teeth inte a regular cheese and butter sandwich.. Ah!

(Just a feeeew more weeks on no-goodies-at-all-diet now. In Vegas on the 19th of September I'm going ALL in on dessert. No actually - dessertS..! Hehe.)

And for those of you who were worried about Ebbe's well-being after reading about his plastic bag outfit this morning please relax. This little green fisherman is what I picked up from daycare this afternoon.. :)

And as I went grocery shopping this evening the men cleaned the windows. Well one cleaned and one smudged again, with tiny little fingers.. ;)

Tomorrow I'm making low carb lunch for Hellan. :) Not sure what it'll be since I usually just open the fridge, use whatever's in it and then add a cheese omelette..

Hm. Well, let's see what happens!

Night night everyone!

Kram /Å

One up one down..

Snivelling nose has not got any worse. Great! Ebbe's eyes and crying when I drop him off at daycare. Heartbreak. :( He just wants to go home with his mum and dad. (But on the other hand he says he's had fun everytime I ask him when I pick him up from daycare so that's a positive.) Maybe I'm just worrying to much on my way from daycare in the morning..

Sometimes I probably should chill and just go with the flow a bit more. I don't know. I do think I sort of do already though. Just like yesterday when the rain was p o u r i n g outside and I could only find one of Ebbe's rubber boots. What to do when in a hurry?

That's right - a pair of good old plastic bags! Oh lord did I look absolutely stupid next to many of the other parents with their mixymatchycolourful outfits on their kids. But hey, did my son get wet?

Nope. Not a bit. And when we arrived the sun even decided to come out!

In the afternoon Ebbe and I decided to bake so we did american applecake (with pears)..

..and chocolate balls (in which I forgot the sugar so they tasted more or less like butter - nice.. At least the glycemic index is low though! ;)) Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the apple(pear)cake before I froze it but it looked fab and Henke ate almost half of it when he got home from Norway in the evening so I beleive it tasted pretty good to. :)

Today is Sh'Bam rehearsal with myself at 9.00 then Annika Sjöö (Thanks for the blogpost babe!! :)) joins me at 10.00. Teaching lunch class BODYBALANCE at 11.30 and then have an appointment with my brilliant naprapath Patrick Nordström at Ryggakuten in the afternoon. Tonight I'll try and squeeze in some BODYPUMP choreo work and grocery shopping! Phew!

Now YOU have a good day!

Rubberboots on! /Å

Beauty sleep bye bye..

Oh well. It could be worse. Even though it hardly felt like it tonight. I have been awake most of the night sneezing and blowing my nose. One little run in windy wheather and this happens. Grrr.. I was sure it was allergy but then again - indoors? At night? I don't know..

So today I'm gonna take care of myself and try to take a nap during the day.

Good morning vitamin C!

Resisting. /Å

A Powerstrip® love letter..

I just have to post one of ALL the absolute beautiful messages I've been getting lately. The way people go out of their way to let me know that they think I'm doing great trying to do my own thing, that they believe in me or that they just find me inspiring or easy to laugh with (possibly even to laugh at but that's alright ;)) - is mind-blowing. THANK YOU. And thank you all for hanging around here on the blog and charing my sometimes more and sometimes (v e r y) less exciting life. :) You make my heart smile and I'm ever so grateful for the company since I sometimes find myself in (for me) nerve wrecking situations and it's always easier not to be alone when trying to stay on track. <3

A couple of evenings ago on a late hour I got a text message from one of the Powerstrip® instructors who took the Powerstrip® instructor training in Stockholm earlier this year. And it just made my day. (I'm sorry it's in Swedish, but let me tell you: It's pure love. Like from a tap. And you can really feel the joy and pride that this girl is feeling right at that moment as she realizes how easily she made so many women feel really good about themselves at the same time. And all from teaching her first Powerstrip® class.. Could I be any prouder? :))

You go girl! Jennie Morén from Borlänge who represented Dalarna the same year as I represented Gothenburg in the Miss Sweden pageant in 2003 - small world huh?! (And now we're both "strippers".. I wonder how we should interpret that..? Hehe.. Well, actually I'll speak for myself - Jennie did make it to the top five and doing proper modeling!)

Dinner tonight was awesome cause I got a bit of a break from the little guy who loves (read: suffocates) his mum to death (read: mental instability) sometimes. Grandma and granddad are two really great babysitters. How many people do you see in the picture below?

That's right, four. :)

And here is where I am right now. Just enjoying the indoors while thunder, rain and massive lightning is running the show outside..

Welcome tomorrow. Let's make another week of life. :)

After rain comes the sun..

As we say in Swedish. And today it did! :) Been fixing inside the house (please insert song here: Neverending stoooory.. La la la la..) as it was raining at the most and then had the most gorgeous and energetically uplifting golf couple (meaning: Hellan and Henke - always impeccably well dressed) here for a quick visit to check out the house. And their little six month old Stella lay on the floor singing her life away the whole time! Now that's a baby of my liking! ;)

After lunch I took the opportunity to sneak out for a run (again with Sh'Bam 5 in my earphones :)) in the new surroundings (well, sort of new since I grew up on Måldomaregatan not far from here, but still) while Ebbe was taking his afternoon nap. It was sunny and lovely so I really tried to enjoy what could be the last summery weekend if we're unlucky, but I sure had to work for it. The wind wasn't making running anywhere near enjoyable today.. Hrrmpf.

But the view in the afternoon sun when I got home was beautiful. Henke working in the green garden under a blue sky..

With small evidence of summer life and warm months (probably most of them when I was freezing my ass of in NZ) on the ground..

My guy! Well, the bigger one of them.. :)

Happy and sweaty!

This pic sort of sums up my day on the spot: Laundry, chilling on the sunny porch and working out..

A bloody good Sunday if you ask me! And it's about to get better. In about half an hour it's family dinner at our place. Mum, dad and my brother with his family! :)

Live now and enjoy the moment. <3

Mohammad and the mountain..

If I can't get to the gym, the gym will have to come to me. And so it sort of did this morning. We have set up a little workout area in (what is soon to become) the game room and I made my sweaty way through BODYPUMP 79! :) And Ebbe was a  sometimes v e r y distracting little cutie whom I'm sure will grow up to be a blonde super hero of some sort.. ;)

But he might have to work on his strength a bit more..

Cutie pie with the facial expressions of the world! Wonder who he got them from.. ;)

After that we went out home shopping. Well, of course not for homes as such - but mats, lamps and other stuff. And we accidentally ended up here..

Mannerströms Saluhall. Oh lord what a total heaven and meat and fish delis..! <3

Today we went for the veal racks. Three pieces - all together 1,7 kilos..

(Why we got Ebbe a whole one to himself I kind of find myself questioning now in retrospect..)

But before I could sink my teeth into that it was time for another bachelorette party and some Powerstrip®! So I rushed off to the gym - and today it was even more fun since I just got the Fall 2011 delivery from my sponsor NIKE! And let me tell you it is HOT!! Striped sports bras and colorful shoes are my favourites so far!

And then I came home to...

..THIS! Wiiihooooo..! A b-i-g veal rack all to myself.. *drooling*

Could I eat it all you wonder? (If you asked yourself that question we probably never have had a meal together. ;))

Have a great saturday night now friends!

Wall paper euphoria..

Yesterday Henke stayed up late and fixed our house to the better yet again. I couldn't keep my eyes open though so instead I got to see the result as I woke up today. And jeeeezes how happy I was to see our crazy wall paper up in all its glory in our living room! Absolutely joyfully lovely!

Urban graffiti:

And one of the best employees in the world came to cook me lunch as I was unpacking - this beautiful hot latino aka the budget boss in my company: Sandra Merino!

And since she knew I'm trying to cut carbs she made the most delightful lunch with very little of it as you can see. Thanx a million babe!

And we got the most beautiful wheater to enjoy it in - sunny and warm. What a great day!

And Henke was no exception when it came to appreciate Sandra's lunch - via the leftovers.. :)

In the evening it was time to celebrate my brothers birthday with the whole family! <3

Ebbe ready with the gift!

Delicious shrimp pie, salad and lots of other goodies was put on the table.. Mm!

And as we got home I yet again just took a moment to enjoy the feeling of the coolest living room look. :) Ah. In winter I'll spend many evenings here with the flaming fireplace beside me and a cup of tea and good book at hand I believe..

But as for tonight it was still warm outside. So while Ebbe was falling asleep Henke and I cracked open a bottle of cava and sat outside for a while just chilling. Life is great. <3

And painting nails in between the sipping. Me that is. ;)

Have a great weekend peoples!

Quarterly in LA - get ready for this Sweeeede!

Wiiihoooo! Thanks to my lovely friend Ben Tang I found this Les Mills page and I am now confirmed for teaching at the Super Quarterly in Anaheim, California on September 17th!! (If you scroll down to National Presenters ...and voila!)

Me like a LOT :) :)

I promise I'll try and shape up my English before then. And not for example translate "mellanspel" in Swedish to "middle play" as I did on a video recently. X-) Well said, Eriksson, well said.

So after being in supadupa mood after another blond extension fixing session at the world's greatest hairdresser - Hanna at Graham&Sandra) - my smile now got so wide I actually have to take care so the top half of my head won't fall off.. ;)

Happy bunny!

Bring on september! And the world.

Grateful. <3 /Å

Aj..

Pain is temporary, pain is tempoaray, pain is temporary..

My first taught pbodyump class in a while today. Oh boy it was heaps fun but oh my lord the pain that's already begun. Hilfe..

And the chaos in the house continues. Couldn't find a lunchbox for my turkey-cheese-omelette. But hey, a shaker works just as well appearantly.. :)

Ciao /Å

Food..

My absolutely lovely friend Linda whom I met in my dancing days in when I lived in Stockholm had invited me over for lunch today. Much just to hang out and gossip of course but also because she injured her leg so badly during a contemporary class at The Place in London a couple of weeks ago that she still har difficulties getting around to much. So what does she do when her annoying friend - me - still don't eat too much bread, rice, pasta och potatoes? She gives me a complete treat within my diet with salmon, polish meat, eggs, salads, veggies and more.

Love u girl!

When I got home the carbs were flowing though. Not sure how many cinnamon buns with milk Ebbe had had, but he sure looked happy and they sure looked tasty.. ;)

Tomorrow full on with BODYPUMP, meeting, hairdresser, rehearsal and more of the endless unpacking from the move. One box at the time. :)

Night! /Å
